Roasted Pear with Goat Cheese and Hot Orange Honey

Ingredients (Serves 4):
- 2 ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Anjou work well)
- 4 oz goat cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
- 1 tbsp Washam Farms Hot Orange Honey
- 1 tsp maple sugar (or brown sugar as a substitute)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Halve the pears and scoop out the core with a spoon or melon baller. Leave the stem on for presentation if desired.
- Place the pears cut side up in a baking dish. Drizzle lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
- Sprinkle with maple sugar and a pinch of cinnamon (if using).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until pears are tender but still hold their shape.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Spoon a dollop of goat cheese into each pear’s hollow.
- Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
- Drizzle generously with Washam Farms Hot Orange Honey for a sweet and spicy finish.
Serve warm as an appetizer, elegant side, or light dessert.
